My name is Jessica Gates, and I am a Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist as well as a Wife and a Mother to 3 little boys! After my first son was born, I knew that I wanted to spend more time with him and that working with young children and their families is where my passion lies! So, I decided to return to the world of Early Intervention and private speech therapy. It truly is the best of both worlds! I love seeing how quickly little ones pick up new skills, especially when the family is a part of the session and can carry over these strategies on a daily basis. You, as their parents, are their most important teachers! I attended Springfield College in Massachusetts where I earned my Bachelors in Rehabilitation and Disability Studies with a concentration in Communication Disorders. I went on to Nazareth College in my hometown of Rochester, NY where I earned my Masters in Speech Language Pathology. I have over 17 years of experience as a Speech Therapist and have worked in both New York and Colorado in a variety of settings, including elementary and middle school, early intervention, and preschool. I started Dragonfly Pediatric Speech Therapy as a way to reach more children in the community and be able to develop fun groups and new programming that can benefit children with Speech and/or Language disorders in so many different ways. It has been an exciting adventure so far and we can't wait to see where else this adventure brings us!
My name is Sarah Pistilli, soon to be Sarah Wild, and I have been a Pediatric Speech Therapist for four years now! I have been working at an elementary school in Fort Worth up until our family relocated to Colorado. I was born and raised in Colorado, so it is good to be back home! We currently have two dogs and two horses and are looking forward to growing our small little farm. I will be starting the process of becoming a certified PATH International Therapist, so be on the lookout for hippotherapy services in the future with my horse Yodi! My passion lies in working with children with language and developmental disabilities. I specialize evaluations and treatment for children who require Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices. I also have vast experience with building language from the ground up, working on higher level language skills with older children, working with children who stutter, and treating articulation disorders. I will be taking the Orton Gillingham dyslexia training this summer and will also be offering dyslexia tutoring services upon competition. I earned my bachelors and masters degree in Speech Language Pathology at Texas Christian University. I am so excited to join the Dragonfly Pediatric Speech Therapy team and start this Colorado adventure!
